"The Gardens"

In 2005 I decided to have my West Coast Opening. I moved from the East to the West coast in 2002. Instead of having the show in a gallery setting, I wanted something different. I was and still do teach kids with cancer to paint. The idea to have an outdoor setting at a “property on the market” came to mind, and it developed. Not sure how many paintings were Feng Shui in the gardens of a lovely Atherton Estate, though many for children and adults had their pictures taken with my painting . “The Gardens” was painted upside down. I never know what I’m doing until I’m at rest with my work. I only knew in order to create the environment for my West Coast Opening I had to paint. “The Gardens” is a magical painting. I have used Diamond Dust. It changes with the light. “The Gardens” sparkles. It softly beckons you to invite calmness into your life. I have always seen many forms in this painting including the Cyprus trees. This painting has been in my private collection for many years. I’m still reluctant to let go, which tells me, it is time. The painting is wired and ready to hang.
