"Leavings" Sold

Never knowing when I paint what is going to appear, I too, am curious to see where the path leads. I had my West Coast Opening at an Atherton estate on the market in September of 2004 with over 50 paintings Feng Shui by Linda Lenore in the gardens. The leaves in "Leavings" are from a gorgeous floral arrangement that included huge Hydrangeas. I kept them after the show and let them dry naturally. Then I sprayed them gold. I used some of the petals from the arrangement on this painting. This painting is very saturated in richness. I mixed paint to create this shade of bronze and then applied a gloss over. While the gloss was semi-dry I adhered one by one individual Hydrangea petals. Whew! It is ready to hang and comes to you unframed. You may like it as is, although a some frames are fabulous with it. "Leavings" has been in my private collection as you can tell for many years. It was the opening of my creativity here on the West Coast, and very special to me. Now it is finally time to have it leave me and find a new home.
