"Come Together Now"

I have never created a painting before like “Come Together Now.” As usual, I never know what is going to appear. This time I was compelled to grab a bag of colorful petite letters from a kids project several years ago, and wondering at the time, what I would do with them. The letters, hearts, and other objects are adhered to the paint one by one by one; a very time consuming process. Some of the letters create words you may notice like WFI or Happy, or you may see hearts. Whenever I complete the work, I sit with it and allow what it would like to be called to come to me. This time, loud and clear “Come Together Now” shouted out. And, with the Pandemic, I realized afterwards, Come Together Now is our theme. Though, I think the Beatles said it the best. The bright and bold letters stand out against the rich purple background. “Come Together Now” is playful, bold, bright and saturated with love and joy. It is wired and ships in a crate.
